Sustainable Toothbrush Design for Children.
BBrush is a conceptual brand created to explore sustainable toothbrush design for children. The project rethinks an everyday object — the toothbrush — with a clear focus on environmental responsibility, playfulness, and personal connection. From the very beginning, the goal was to show how thoughtful design can support children’s habits while also reducing plastic waste.
First, the project focused on materials and impact. Bamboo was chosen as the core material because it is renewable, durable, and more environmentally friendly than plastic. As a result, the toothbrush supports a more sustainable daily routine without adding complexity for parents or children. This sustainable toothbrush design approach proves that small product choices can make a meaningful difference over time.
In addition, personalisation plays an important role in the concept. By allowing children to see their own name or identity reflected in the product, BBrush creates a stronger emotional connection. Consequently, this sense of ownership can encourage regular use and help children develop positive hygiene habits from an early age.







Emotions for connection
The visual identity was designed to support the values of sustainable toothbrush design while remaining friendly and accessible. The logo uses the Amatic CS typeface, selected for its hand-drawn character and playful tone. This choice helps the brand feel human, warm, and approachable for children. At the same time, the design stays clear and readable for adults.
Furthermore, the packaging design remains minimal and avoids unnecessary elements. By highlighting the natural bamboo material, the packaging reinforces the sustainability message and reduces visual noise. This design decision aligns with broader principles of sustainable product branding and responsible packaging design.


Overall, BBrush demonstrates how sustainable toothbrush design, visual identity, and packaging can work together as one system. The project shows that sustainability does not need to feel strict or boring. Instead, it can be simple, joyful, and meaningful.
