moonlight yoga studio
Japanese-inspired yoga brand rooted in mindful rituals.
Yoga studio branding was the starting point for Moonlight, a conceptual boutique wellness studio inspired by Japanese philosophy and slow living. The goal was to create more than a place for yoga classes. I wanted to design a calm environment where people could slow down, reconnect and enjoy simple daily rituals. Instead of using common wellness symbols such as lotus flowers or mandalas, I built the identity around Japanese minimalism, natural materials and timeless design. Stone, linen, cedar wood, handmade ceramics and soft colours create a quiet atmosphere that feels refined and welcoming.
Moonlight combines brand strategy, visual identity and customer experience into one complete brand ecosystem. Every touchpoint supports the same story, from the entrance and tea ritual to the reflection journal, wayfinding, editorial design, merchandise and digital experience. The logo, illustrations, typography and colour palette work together to create a consistent identity across every application. This yoga studio branding project demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform a wellness studio into a memorable experience where branding becomes part of everyday rituals rather than simply visual decoration.

A Japanese Interpretation of a Yoga Studio
Although Moonlight is a yoga studio, its identity is deeply influenced by Japanese philosophy and aesthetics rather than traditional yoga symbolism. Instead of using expected visual elements such as lotus flowers, mandalas or vibrant wellness colours, the project embraces the principles of ma (space), simplicity and quiet beauty. Natural stone, linen, handcrafted ceramics, cedar wood and soft light create an atmosphere inspired by Japanese architecture and Zen gardens. The result is a unique fusion where yoga is presented not as exercise, but as a mindful way of living—expressed through a refined, contemporary design language.
